Chronic Pain Perspective

Chronic Pain Sufferer Or
Survivor; How Do You
Approach Your Chronic
Pain...?

We all know that chronic pain can be mighty
misery, but do you know that the manner in
which you deal with chronic pain and its
concomitant difficulties, serves to either
compound chronic pain and its impact, or
detract from it?

Chronic pain can indeed be a great
loss...sometimes like death and the pain that
follows. But there comes a crossroad where one
either faces the unwelcome chronic pain
challenge and battles back, or succumbs to the
situation and gives in.

Chronic pain Survivors commit themselves to
improvement and develop means to fight back,
while sufferers can fall prey to themselves, give
in, self-pity, and stand still. Unless you're
proactive in your approach but also know when
to take breathers, the debilitating aspects of
chronic pain are likely to continue.

So the questions then my friends are
this...sufferer or Survivor - which one are
you...and why?  Do your actions help or hinder?
Are they productive, neutral, or destructive?

And what action can you take, either on your
own or through the love and support of others,
to help get yourself on a better chronic pain
management track to the greatest degree
possible...???
